Connect for Growth_2007 also provided dealers the opportunity to see KONICA MINOLTA's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) plans in action with a visit from the McDonogh 15 School for the Creative Arts, and KONICA MINOLTA's pledge to support the rebuilding of this public charter grammar school run by KIPP. KONICA MINOLTA outlined a goal to raise as much as $200,000 for school repairs by generating donations from its holding company and employees, as well as its network of dealer and business partners. Members of the McDonogh 15 Jazz Band performed on the event's opening day and students displayed their artwork created around the themes of "What my school means to me," and "What my city means to me." The company also raised approximately $70,000 during the closing night celebration.

The money raised will go toward fixing the school's ceiling, exterior and bathrooms, replacing windows, repainting, cleaning up the local park and purchasing new playground equipment. Beyond the structural improvements, KONICA MINOLTA will donate $20,000 worth of products for students' everyday use, including graphic application software, wide-format color printers and wide format scanners.
