Impact Unlimited's Fourth Annual Summer Symposium Inspires Brand, Marketing and Convention Managers

Dayton, N.J. (PRWEB) August 26, 2007 -- Impact Unlimited, a leading provider of brand communications for events, meetings, and exhibits worldwide, hosted more than 80 clients at their Annual Summer Symposium on July 25 at the Forsgate Country Club in Monroe Township, N.J. Entitled Re:Think Convention 07, Impact Unlimited's annual event offered brand, marketing and convention managers an opportunity to look beyond conventional approaches to successful meetings, exhibits, and events.

This year's theme, "Leading People, Leading Brands" provided a forum from which a wide range of issues and opportunities in brand communications for events, exhibits and meetings were discussed. The event featured presentations from renowned creative thinkers including Jack Trout, one of the pioneers of marketing positioning and author of Differentiate or Die as well as other landmark marketing books.

"Jack Trout's presentation gave several good points that are immediately applicable," commented one attendee. "I would love my entire marketing/communications team to hear him."

The symposium was also host to Impact's Annual Solutions and Technology Fair, which showcased a wide range of solutions to improve the effectiveness of convention and meetings as well as new technologies designed to enhance convention and meeting experiences.

This year, clients voted on the technologies that were showcased, awarding the Mind Expression with the WOW! Award for the display that had the biggest impact on the tech fair floor. Mind Expression is an innovative immersive experience that uses participant's brainwaves (EEGs) to create commands for a robotic arm to paint unique works of art.

Gesture Control Interactivity, the latest in video projection and gesture control technologies, was voted the Most Practical Solution by attendees with 37% of the vote.

"Gesture Control Technology is very advanced and a great addition to the exhibit booth," commented one attendee. "It creates greater interaction with attendees while reviewing product data that is sometimes not necessarily new information."

"Our summer symposium program has been extremely valuable for our clients over the last three years and this year was no exception," said Sandie Stransky, Vice President of Sales for Impact Unlimited. "Re:Think was designed to be an inspiring, informative, and fun day for Impact Unlimited and our clients and I think that we achieved all of those things."

"The whole concept behind "Re:Think Convention" is to use the summer season to brainstorm new ideas inspired by great speakers and be surrounded by cutting edge technologies and solutions," added Ken Payne, President of Impact Unlimited. "It also sets the tone for continued creative thinking throughout the year. Re:Think is bigger than the event itself; it is really a strategic philosophy that should inspire our approach to business every day."

The symposium covered topics and strategies relevant to a wide range of industries and provided Impact's clients with a great deal of insight and inspiration to use in planning for upcoming meetings, conventions, and events of all types for their respective organizations.

In addition to Trout, this year's speakers included:

* Joe Healey - voted the "World's Best Presenter" by journalists for his unique message and inspiring style, spoke of the importance of trust and humility within the workplace in order to foster, innovation, influence, cooperation ,and ultimately success.

* Lou Morris - former Chief of the Marketing and Communications Branch for the Division of Drug Marketing, Advertising, and Communications (DDMAC) spoke in depth about the regulations placed on pharmaceutical booths as well as shed some light on creative ways to remain within the guidelines.

* Dr. William Trombetta - Professor of Pharmaceutical Marketing at St. Joseph's University covered ROI including various types of measuring methods.

"This year's symposium brought forth a good combination of technology, regulatory, HR, and financial information that is especially pertinent to the conventions industry," added an attendee. "I really liked the forum and believe this mix was appropriate for the audience."
