Before you decide to start a legitimate online business, there are 5 THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW that you don't see on the websites of many of the products you are reviewing.
If you have done any research at all, you know that a lot of the sales pitches appeal to your emotions (and the prospect of $$$ in your pocket). But before you take the plunge and buy that 'perfect' money making opportunity, consider these important factors:
1) If you decide to start a legitimate online business, you will spend some money before you make some money. Your goal is to make an informed, intelligent decision regarding your business and product(s) before you spend a whole bunch of money and have little or nothing to show for it. Be sure to read the entire sales page of the business you are researching. Don?t get so caught up in the excitement of making money that you skim over the details of what you will be representing/selling and how much of an investment you will have to make.
2) There is a learning curve with this type of business, like any new venture. You will have to work hard and learn the ropes like everyone else who has been successful. There are some great programs out there to help you jumpstart your business, but again, be careful about what you are selecting.
3) If you plan to establish a legitimate online business, you will need to give it time to grow and become successful just like any other new business. Please don't plan on immediate net profits because it's probably not going to happen, and you are setting yourself up for disapointment.
4) Be very careful which company's product you select. Make sure the sales page includes an email and phone number to contact if you have questions. If there is just an email given, check it out first. Make sure it is valid and that you get a response from a human being, not just an auto responder.
5) Read all of the sales page and see what the philosophy of the company is. If they don't talk specifically about how they will support you after the sale, be wary of it.
My first online business venture was with a company that did a great sales job, happily took my money, then dropped me like a hot potato. I (stupidly) agreed to a monthly fee for ?website hosting?, and when I realized it was not a good decision, tried to contact them to cancel and get a refund. I realized there was no contact phone number offered, and I never got a response to any of my emails. Breaking apart from this company was tough due to their lack of communication, and ended up costing me more than it should have.
Fortunately, I now have a couple of online businesses with legitimate companies that are more than happy to provide support when needed. When I succeed, they succeed.
Ultimately, there is opportunity to make money with a legitimate online business. You will have to work hard, be motivated, by willing to spend some money on both product and training, and remember that this is a new business, and needs to be treated as such. Good luck with your venture and much success to you!
