Viral ads are called so because they are sent through emails, from account to account, spreading like viruses. The negative connotation of the name is merely due to its dispensational nature and not necessarily to any potential ill-effect brought on by its presence or any possible disruptive intent of the Viral Ad?s designer.

Doubletree and Hilton Hotels at Seattle Airport Install FlyteBoard Airline Information Screens to Serve Business Travelers

Chicago, IL (PRWEB) February 12, 2008 -- Flyte Systems (http://www.flytesystems.com/?campaign=PRWebSeattleHiltonDoubtreeFeb122008), the leading provider of airport flight information (http://flytesystems.com/hospitality.html?campaign=PRWebSeattleHiltonDoubtreeFeb122008) displays and digital signage (http://flytesystems.com/FlyteBoard.html?campaign=PRWebSeattleHiltonDoubtreeFeb122008) content for the hospitality, digital signage, convention centers and related businesses, announced it successfully installed its FlyteBoard real-time airline information display screens at the Doubletree Hotel Seattle Airport and the Hilton Seattle Airport Hotel and Conference Center. The properties share common ownership and comprise over 1,200 rooms. FlyteBoard is one of four Flyte Systems service solutions that provide the traveling public with reliable flight information.

"We serve thousands of guests at our two large airport hotels and understand that air travel today is work," said Anne Santistevan, director of business development at the Doubletree and Hilton Seattle Airport properties. "We implement innovative service technologies like FlyteBoard to help the large number of guests who visit our properties gain control of their traveling lives again. The FlyteBoard displays are clearly valued by our guests. It was an easy decision to install the systems." With their huge number of rooms and more than 80,000 square feet of combined meeting space, the Doubletree and Hilton Seattle Airport hotels cater almost exclusively to business travelers and conference guests that arrive by air.

Good for Guests, Good for Business

According to Santistevan, the FlyteBoards at the two properties are extremely popular. She notes that not only do guests make extensive use of the boards at both hotels, but so do the numerous flight crews that stay on property. "Before we installed FlyteBoard, the crews would have to call in to confirm their plans. But now we see them also checking the boards to confirm their schedules. There are always people in front of the FlyteBoard verifying flight information. It is a great service for hotels that serve airport-bound guests."

The night staffs at the two properties also use the boards as an effective marketing tool to fill rooms during inclement weather. "When our night teams see flights are being cancelled or delayed, we are able to immediately call the affected airlines to offer as many rooms as we have available for distressed travelers - this fills rooms," Santistevan reported.

Real-time Flight Information

FlyteBoard, developed by Flyte Systems (http://flytesystems.com/FlyteTouch.html?campaign=PRWebSeattleHiltonDoubtreeFeb122008), is a wall, floor or ceiling mounted high-definition, flat panel screen that the properties installed in their lobbies to provide guests with 'glance-and-go' convenience for confident travel planning. What sets FlyteSystems apart from other PC-based applications is the ability to post accurate real-time airline flight arrival and departure information (http://flytesystems.com/FlyteChannel.html?campaign=PRWebSeattleHiltonDoubtreeFeb122008), not FAA-regulated scheduled departure times that do not list delays caused by:

?    Air Traffic Control

?    Aircraft maintenance

?    Crew availability

?    Weather

Flyte Systems offers a suite of products that serve the traveling public: FlyteTouch, FlytePass, FlyteChannel and FlyteBoard.

?    FlyteTouch enables individual guests to search flight information via touch screens that display real-time flight arrivals and departures for one or more airports.

?    FlytePass uses FlyteTouch technology and adds free, secure boarding pass printing, packaged in an all-wood kiosk.

?    FlyteChannel permits guests to view live airport arrival/departure screens via their in-room TV.

?    FlyteBoard is a wall, floor or ceiling mounted high-definition, flat panel screen for lobbies, restaurants, bars and other public areas, displaying flight information for one or more airports.

FlyteSystems products can be configured to display information from one or multiple airports. Flyte Systems applications are often used by properties to generate increased revenue streams with innovative marketing approaches to the distressed traveler.
