Internet Advertising: Viral Ads
Viral ads are called so because they are sent through emails, from account to account, spreading like viruses. The negative connotation of the name is merely due to its dispensational nature and not necessarily to any potential ill-effect brought on by its presence or any possible disruptive intent of the Viral Ad?s designer.
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) May 14, 2008 - Flyte Systems (http://flytesystems.com/AboutFlyte.html?campaign=PRWebBelamarMay142008), the leading provider of airport travel information (http://flytesystems.com/FAQs.html?campaign=PRWebBelamarMay142008) displays and digital signage (http://flytesystems.com/digitalsignage.html?campaign=PRWebBelamarMay142008) content for the hospitality industry, digital signage, convention centers and related businesses, announced it successfully installed its FlyteBoard real-time airline flight information (http://flytesystems.com/hospitality.html?campaign=PRWebBelamarMay142008) screen and FlytePass boarding pass printing station at The Belamar luxury boutique hotel in Manhattan Beach, California. The Belamar is part of the Larkspur collection of properties and is the first in Los Angeles.
The Belamar recently underwent extensive renovations to its Restaurant, Lobby, Meeting and Business Center areas and reopened them in March with state-of-the-art, high-end, high-tech capabilities. According to Belamar General Manager Tom Beedon, "The changes were done specifically with the business traveler in mind, and Flyte's products were a conscious addition to the renovations."
'Live' Flight Information Spurs Selection
"We were in Boston at a National Business Travel Association trade show when we first saw FlyteBoard in the hotel where we were staying," Beedon said. "We immediately thought that it would be a perfect addition to our new Business Center." Beedon explained that FlyteBoard displays live departing flight status information (http://www.flytesystems.com/convention.html?campaign=PRWebBelamarMay142008) from LAX on two 23-inch Apple monitors mounted on the wall in the fully equipped Business Center located inside the hotel's Meeting Center. "Our designers chose these monitors because they look great within the overall design scheme and because of their outstanding clarity." The Belamar also placed a FlytePass boarding pass printing station next to the monitors for greater guest convenience.
The Belamar's Meeting Center has five boardrooms which is unique to the South Bay region of Los Angeles. "There is nothing comparable for business travelers in this area," he said. In designing the Center, Beedon notes the property conducted a series of focus groups to ensure their improvements were on target for the business community. "We brought conference coordinators together from some of the area's top companies and asked them if they thought the changes would be valuable; the Flyte Systems products received a resounding 'yes' all around."
Real-time Flight Information
What sets Flyte Systems apart from other PC-based applications is its ability to post accurate, real-time airline flight arrival and departure information (http://flytesystems.com/FlyteBoard.html?campaign=PRWebBelamarMay142008), not FAA-regulated scheduled departure times that do not list delays caused by:
? Air Traffic Control
? Aircraft maintenance
? Crew availability
? Weather
Flyte Systems offers a suite of products that serve the traveling public that includes FlyteTouch, FlytePass, FlyteChannel and FlyteBoard.
? FlyteTouch enables individual guests to search flight information via touch screens that display real-time flight arrivals and departures for one or more airports.
? FlytePass uses FlyteTouch technology and adds free, secure boarding pass printing, packaged in an attractive all-wood kiosk.
? FlyteChannel enables guests to view live airport arrival/departure screens from their in-room TV.
? FlyteBoard is a wall, floor or ceiling mounted high-definition, flat panel screen for lobbies, restaurants, bars and other public areas, displaying flight information for one or more airports.
Beedon says the Belamar is not a standard, business-branded hotel, but attracts clientele with more of a luxury boutique aura. "Think hip, cool and upscale," he says. The addition of Flyte's products has been an integral part of the property's marketing to the business sector. "Live airline information is definitely a value-add for our guests. They love it because they do not have to take time to boot up their laptop to check their flight status online. It makes traveling easier and convenient."
Many properties also use Flyte Systems' applications to increase revenue with innovative marketing approaches for distressed travelers. For tips on how to generate revenue by providing guests with Flyte Systems airline information, please log on to the Flyte Systems website at www.flytesystems.com.
If you are attending HITEC 2008 in Austin, be sure to confirm your flight's departure information and print your boarding pass at the Flyte Systems' booth # 351 to save time at the airport.
