Toronto, ON (PRWEB) May 12, 2008 -- Destiny Solutions Inc. (Destiny), announced today that the University of Calgary Continuing Education department will launch a new integrated business management system, based on the Destiny OneCE solution platform, in July of this year. The efficiency and overall speed of the new implementation approach will establish a new standard for the industry. Engaging the University using a rapid deployment model, Destiny shortened the development cycle to less than four months--through a process that incorporates rich technology aligned with detailed customer specifications and expected outcomes.
"Destiny's ability to simplify and streamline the deployment of a fully operational management system opens the door for current and future customers who want an easy option," said Shaul Kuper, Destiny's President & CEO.
A functionally-rich enterprise system, Destiny OneCE will improve the Continuing Education (CE) experience at The University of Calgary by enhancing: access for students, instructors, staff and public; sophistication of marketing tools; operational processes; and knowledge of the customer base in an increasingly competitive and global marketplace.
"We were seeking a robust Web interface that would enable us rapid access to data to support decision making," said Scott McLean, Director of Continuing Education at the University of Calgary. "Our implementation of Destiny OneCE allows us to seamlessly transition all our data across multiple user groups."
Providing curriculum for more than 40 certificate and designation programs, the University currently services more than 20,000 continuing education registrants across 1,200 courses annually. "Due to an increase in demand for professional and continuing education, the current system was no longer able to support the unit's growth goals and commitment to student service," said Robert Wensveen, Information Systems Manager & Program Director at University of Calgary Continuing Education.
"What we saw was a company focused on the needs of continuing education; CE is their only customer," said McLean. "Destiny Solutions' intentional focus on continuing education provides us with a software system that meets our business critical requirements and supports our goal to better serve our constituents."
