1. KEEP A POSITIVE ATTITUDE. Success in all areas of life is 90% attitude and 10% aptitude. All of us must work at developing habits of positive thinking and positive self talk. Ask yourself this question when you are thinking negative thoughts or berating yourself, If my best friend spoke to me like I am speaking to myself would they be my best friend? If the answer id no replace that negative thought or self talk with a positive affirmation. We are what we think about and we attract to us that what we think about. Take a good look at where you are and if you are not where you want to be, change the inside and you will be amazed at what you will manifest on the outside.

2. BE ENTHUSIASTIC. Enthusiasm generates its own energy and a lot of it. It will also attract other enthusiastic people to you. Energy and good health are synonymous with busy, happy people, people who are achieving the success they desire.

3. SET GOALS. What is it you want to accomplish? Do you want to save for retirement? A new home? College education for your children? Vacation? You can have whatever you want, but you must believe you can have it and want it bad enough to do the things that have to be done to get it. Write down your goals and a target date for reaching it. Write down what activities you need to do each day, week and month to accomplish your goal. Work consistently.

4. MAKE LISTS. Each evening list all the things you want to get done the following day. List them in order of importance. This will give you an organized approach to each day. As each task is finished mark it off your list. You will be amazed at how much you will get done when you work off a list. Keep a day planner for appointments and a notebook with you at all times for recording potential clients and referrals.

5. HAVE AN OFFICE AREA. When working from your own home it is essential to have a place where you can work in an organized and efficient manner. If all you can manage is a corner of a room, that is fine, claim it as yours and work from there.

6. SCHEDULE TIME WISELY. A schedule will take the frustration out of your day. By following a schedule the necessary things will get done and get done on time. Consistency and discipline is a must. Plan your work and work your plan.

7. STAY INVOLVED. Most companies have trainings, meetings and conferences. Be on as many trainings as possible, attend all meetings and conferences. Learners are earners, staying connected to the leaders in your company will advance your learning which in turn will increase your paycheck.

8. LEARN TO HANDLE MONEY INTELLIGENTLY. Set up a separate checking account for your business and use one charge card strictly for business expenses. Since bank statements show an exact record of all monies received, withdrawn, and business expenses, record keeping becomes simple and accurate.
