BizBen's Fast Track Program Helps Business Sell Before Christmas Rush

San Ramon, CA (PRWeb) December 20, 2006 -- The buyers of a box and shipping business in California didn't want to miss out on the Christmas rush. Thankfully, with help from BizBen.com and business broker Bill Kobayashi, they didn't.

Many buyers had their eye on this small business that specializes in shipping and moving boxes and supplies. Ebay sellers rely on this business for discount boxes and shipping services. Buyers also liked that the business had a high barrier to entry, excellent cash flow, and trade secrets. This helped make it one of the most popular on BizBen last week.

The challenge for broker Kobayashi was to market the business but at the same time keep the listing confidential. The business got four offers, including one that fell through just before closing. In the end the buyer got a small business loan through the SBA in just five weeks.

The shipping business sold for $445,000 and was on the market for seven months. "I had over 100 inquiries and 32 nondisclosure packets from buyers. Less than half were qualified, because they didn't have financing, they lived too far from the business, or couldn't get credit," said Kobaysahi. Kobaysahi used the BizBen Fast Track program to sell the business.

The Fast Track program helps business broker's business for sale listings sell quickly. The program boasts a 90% success rate and is the foundation of many broker's businesses. Fast Track ads are featured on BizBen's home page and are listed at the top of search results pages. The ad is also included in [daily email reports to business buyers, and displayed on a banner ad throughout the site.

Peter Siegel, owner of BizBen.com, recommends business owners and business brokers choose the 90 day program. This gives their listing maximum exposure. "In my over twenty years in this business I've seen that half of all offers fall through. It's important to actively look for buyers and advertise your business until the sale is final. That way you won't lose valuable time if a sale is lost," he said.

In addition to the business above, last week, in California 365 small businesses, franchises, and business opportunities were sold. Following are statistics for December 11 to December 17, 2006.

Alameda County: 25, Butte County: 1, Contra Costa County: 8, El Dorado County: 3, Glenn County: 1, Kern County: 3, Los Angeles County: 103, Marin County: 1, Mendocino County: 1, Merced County: 1, Modoc County: 1, Nevada County: 1, Orange County: 38, Placer County: 6, Plumas County: 1, Riverside County: 14, Sacramento County: 7, San Bernardino County: 10, San Diego County: 21, San Francisco County: 31, San Joaquin County: 8, San Luis Obispo County: 8, San Mateo County: 5, Santa Barbara County: 8, Santa Clara County: 18, Santa Cruz County: 4, Shasta County: 3, Siskiyou County: 4, Solano County: 2, Sonoma County: 6, Stanislaus County: 7, Sutter County: 3, Tehama County: 1, Tuolumne County: 1, Ventura County: 6, Yolo County: 1, Yuba County: 1.
